G.T.I. Security | How We Protect You From Cheaters
2024-12-05 17:00:00
Greetings Operator,
We’d like to take this opportunity to talk about how we keep cheaters away from Delta Force.
Q: What is cheating?
Cheating refers to the use of unauthorized software or hardware to gain an unfair advantage over other players. In shooter games, this typically includes tactics like wallhacks, which allow players to see through walls, and aimbots, which provide automatic aiming assistance. When someone cheats in Delta Force, they undermine fair competition and ruin the experience for everyone.
To preserve the integrity of the game and ensure all players can enjoy it, Delta Force must have a working security solution in place. This system is essential to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment.
Q: What security solution does Delta Force use?
Our security solution combines server-end measures with security software running on your PC. Fighting off cheaters is like preventing a cat from stealing delicious treats from a jar. The user-end software, running on your PC, acts like a bell on the cat’s collar, alerting us to its movements. Meanwhile, the server-end measures are like the lock and seal on the jar of treats, preventing the cat from prying it open. We won’t detail all of the measures here—that’s exactly what the cat (and cheaters!) would want. However, one example of our server-end measures is a technology called “Fog of War.” This system constantly monitors player in-game locations and visibility, ensuring that only data about enemy players within a player's line of sight is fed to their game.
On the user side, we have Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE), a trusted anti-cheat solution used by many game developers. Operating at the kernel level, ACE provides robust protection to ensure a fair and secure gaming environment.
Q: What is “kernel level” software?
As a very common approach to anti-cheat measures, kernel level software operates at the most fundamental level of your computer’s operating system, having full access to all system resources when the relevant program is running. This allows it to monitor and control system processes, providing a more powerful and efficient way to detect and prevent cheating. Kernel level software has a higher level of control over the system, making it harder for cheaters to bypass or manipulate compared to regular software running at higher levels.
Q: Why is ACE running on the kernel level?
More and more cheating tools are running at the kernel level, making them essentially undetectable by security software not running on the kernel level. By operating at this level, ACE, like many common anti-cheat programs, can detect and block cheat software in this highly privileged environment, ensuring a much higher level of security and making it significantly harder for cheaters to bypass the system.
Q: How do I know that my data is private and secure with ACE running on the kernel level?
At Team Jade, we take the protection of our users' personal data very seriously. We are continuously working to enhance user protection features and are committed to transparency in our data practices. We collect various types of data to provide services to our players, including localizing game experience, improving game experience, bug fixing, and complying with legal obligations. As further disclosed in the Privacy Policy, we may process your account information and other data in connection with anti-cheating purposes. We implement robust security measures to protect user data, including encryption and access controls, and conduct regular security audits to safeguard the personal data we process. These practices are outlined in our Privacy Policy.
We are committed to keeping you informed about our data practices and will provide updates as necessary. Your trust is important to us, and we are dedicated to protecting your personal information.

Q: Will this completely eliminate cheating?
Sadly, no. Combating cheaters is a game of cat and mouse—one is always running, and the other is always chasing. If we don't have kernel level security software, we simply don’t stand a chance. While we continually improve our anti-cheat measures, the battle against cheaters is ongoing, and we are committed to staying one step ahead to ensure a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for all players.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all players who report suspicious behavior. Every report and positive detection is thoroughly investigated by a dedicated team within 24 hours. Depending on the severity, penalties could include a 10-year suspension and hardware ban. Therefore, if someone has been hardware banned in the past (e.g., during Steam Next Fest), they will not be able to access the Open Beta, even if they attempt to do so with a new account.
